Rooms have unique western decor and the self check-in process is convenient. The noise from the highway is pretty loud, so bring earplugs.

Charming western decor and clean rooms made for a fun stay. The freeway noise was pretty loud at night, though.

The western theme brings a fun vibe and makes you feel like a cowpoke on a budget. The location is great with a top-notch steakhouse right next door and the decorations add character to the room that feels homey.
The cleanliness could use serious attention with some bugs and stains lurking.

The Big Texan Motel offers a fantastic Route 66 experience with its charming cowboy-themed decor and friendly staff. Its proximity to the famous Big Texan Steak Ranch and a refreshing swimming pool makes it the perfect pit stop for travelers seeking unique Texas flair!

The staff was nice about it and offered a refund, but weeks later, I still haven't seen it. Super disappointing!

Close to the Big Texan and Palo Duro Canyon. The room was clean and good size with a fridge and coffee maker.
It wasn't cheap, but still reasonable for what you get.

Had a blast at the motel. Loved the quirky room decor and the massive showerhead - felt like Kramer from Seinfeld! Walking to the restaurant was a treat for a delicious meal. Fun times all around.
My personal parking mission could rival a scavenger hunt.

A unique spot nestled off the highway. Fun, western decor adds charm. The quiet second building was a pleasant surprise. Check-in felt unconventional but efficient via text; responsive staff eases any initial concerns. The room was spacious and clean, but the mattress desperately needs replacing—too soft and squeaky. Thin walls amplified neighboring conversations, which could disrupt your rest. Conveniently located next to a well-known restaurant was a major plus after hours on the road. the shower drained poorly, and an unexpected insect situation was disappointing. With a pool that was frustratingly closed, it leaves room for improvement. This place has potential for a memorable stay. Just a few adjustments could elevate it significantly.

I really enjoyed how easy it was to access the famous Big Texan restaurant just next door where you can have a classic Texan meal which was a treat and the hotel is also conveniently situated near several attractions such as the American Quarter Horse Museum which is less than 5 km away and the Texas Air & Space Museum which is just over 4 km away making it easy to explore the local culture and history while indulging in some delicious food but the rooms did feel a bit dated so if you're expecting modern amenities you might be a little disappointed.

The room was clean and featured western decor that added charm. The temperature control worked well, keeping the space comfortable. Beds were oddly comfortable for a budget motel, contributing to a decent night's sleep. the noise from the freeway was noticeable at times, which could be disruptive. I appreciated having a well-maintained dog area outside. The shower had good water pressure, and the hot water was consistent. The sidewalk had some uneven patches, which should be addressed for safety. Wi-Fi connection was reliable, making it easy to stay connected.

Had a blast at a quirky cowboy, themed motel celebrating Route 66 vibes. The massive rain shower was heavenly after a long day's drive. The no, contact check, in was super smooth, and the comfy bed with plenty of clean towels was a bonus.
The exterior stairs were a bit sketchy, especially for older guests. The noise from the adjoining rooms was a downside.

Quaint western charm made for a fun atmosphere, with comfy, quiet rooms and the largest showerhead I’ve ever seen. Loved having real glasses and a fridge, and being steps away from that famous steakhouse—seriously delicious food! Unfortunately, the dog area could use better maintenance, and noise from neighbors was pretty distracting. A bit of a mixed bag: some details didn’t quite nail it, but the friendly vibe and unique decor more than made up for it. Just wish the staff’s cold hadn’t affected check-in. Can’t wait to return and enjoy more cake next time!

This place is a delightful break from the usual road trip grind! The themed decor is charming, and I loved the spacious deluxe queen room that was spotless. Plus, having The Big Texan right across the parking lot was perfect after a long day of driving!
Can't recommend highly enough! 😊❤️

The Texan-themed decor truly added a fun touch to the entire motel. The room we stayed in had a cozy upscale cabin vibe, and the self check-in process was convenient. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms and the effort put into making guests feel welcome, like having our names on the door. there were some areas that could use improvement. The food at the steakhouse wasn't as impressive as we had hoped, and the lack of parking was a hassle. The bed in our room was incredibly squeaky, which made for a less-than-ideal night's sleep. the ice machine was broken, and the overall maintenance of the property seemed lacking in some aspects. Despite these shortcomings, we did enjoy the proximity to the Big Texan restaurant and the unique Texan charm of the motel. The staff was friendly, but there were some communication issues during check-in that caused delays.
